Although he has limited visual acuity, Kurt is able to sensitively arrange and carefully light his unique subjects. Whether in-studio or in a natural environment, placing his focus on the singular beauty within.

Hesse’s intention is to show the viewer not only what she sees, but how she sees it.
Due to my vision loss, my view of the world is puzzle perfect. A tiny piece, a band of color, how does it fit in to the bigger picture? Through my imagination the swirls become joined, and my art is whole."
Carol now lives in Ft. Myers, Florida. She paints at the Lighthouse of Southwest Florida in their arts program.

"My style is like me, still evolving and a little quirky. Working with limited field, and now loss of color perception, I am incorporating my desire to try new formats, media and styles to reinterpret what I see. It is a challenge to paint/draw large objects like buildings and keep them scaled properly when I see only a pane of window glass, an animal, or the veins of a leaf unless I am VERY far away. "But I am always up for a challenge. That’s good because life is full of them and I am not backing down."
Influenced by the natural world, myth, science fiction, and pop culture, Thomas McCue employs traditional media and a gestural, abstract expressist and graphic approach to making images.
Passle is a visually impaired artist who graduated with a MFA in Weaving and Textiles from Edinboro University.
