Taking a Look at Android Accessibility

Thursday, May 13 - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

For a long time, Android smartphones and tablets lacked reliable accessibility for people with vision loss. Making it more difficult is the fact that each manufacturer of Android installs different ways to access their accessibility options. However, Android accessibility has improved and many people prefer an Android product. The price difference between an Android and an iPhone can also make the decision easy. Android phones are a lot less expensive.

At our Taking a Look at Android Accessibility workshop, Bill Schmidt, an accomplished Android phone user, and Cody Froeter, CVRT, shares tips for navigating through your Android phone and the differences you may encounter on this platform.

You’ll learn about:

  • Talk Back options and settings
  • magnification options and settings
  • basic gestures and navigation
  • different blindness apps for the Android platform

To join this workshop, call our conference line at 312-809-1004. For questions, email Cody Froeter.
