Second Sense - Beyond Vision Loss

Navigating Airports with Vision Loss

Tuesday, October 28 - 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Traveling through airports is difficult for most people, but adding in low vision or blindness makes it an even more challenging task. Finding human guide assistance, getting through TSA, and arriving at your gate on time can be quite stressful. So, being timely and prepared is key. Knowing what accessibility offerings exist can help to streamline the process of making your flight on time.

At our next Advanced Orientation and Mobility workshop, we’ll meet with ADA Coordinator Xochitl Rodriguez at Midway International Airport. Ms. Rodriguez shares important information about accessibility features, TSA, and navigation of the airport. Lunch will be provided by Second Sense upon returning to the city.
