Mindful Eating: Encouragement for a Healthy Lifestyle

It’s the little changes that make the difference! This is Second Sense volunteer, Brooke Keeton’s, mantra when it comes to achieving a healthy lifestyle. She is a long-time practitioner of mindful eating and also has a culinary background. Brooke volunteers her time to help others like herself with vision loss think more carefully about what we eat and finding ways to incorporate exercise into a daily routine. This group discusses the challenges we all face to eating mindfully to achieve better health and energy levels.

Mindful Eating meets every second Friday of the month. Anyone interested in getting the support you need to begin a path to a healthier lifestyle is welcome to join us!

The conversation revolves around:

  • sharing healthy recipes
  • incorporating nutritious foods into your diet
  • cooking methods
  • finding ways to get more exercise
  • encouraging each other all along the way
