Welcome to Second Sense’s New Home! Join us at our November 13 Open House.
In addition to touring our new space, we have some exciting activities for you to check out.
- Meet the team from the Chicago Hearing Society. If you like, you can receive a hearing screening with one of their audiologists. You’ll also learn about other technology that can help if you have hearing loss.
- Check out the tools from Innovative Vision Products. Sloan Morris will be on hand to show off his wide variety of tech tools such as text to speech devices, scanners, and magnification options. No matter the degree of vision loss, Sloan has a device that can help!
- Learn what a smart home can do for you. Cody Froeter will demonstrate a variety of smart speakers, plugs and bulbs so you can decide what device and accessories would work best for you.
- Experience the way it might feel to work with a guide dog. Mandi Hetzel, our orientation and mobility specialist, can take you for a Juno walk to see if you like the way a guide dog might feel.
- Get an answer to any of your technology and daily living questions. Taurus Smith and Eric Boklage will be on hand to work with you. Don’t be shy, no question is too trivial if it helps you be more independent!
