Illinois Assistive Technology Program: Getting the Assistive Tech You Need

Thursday, March 26 - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Getting the assistive technology you need can be expensive. You also may not always know what type of equipment you need, is available to you, or how to obtain it. The Illinois Assistive Technology Program is a nonprofit organization providing access to assistive devices and services to help you maintain your independence in all areas of life.

Joining us at Second Sense from IATP is Courtney Marotta who shares important information about the vocational rehabilitation services through IATP and the Department of Human Services (DHS). This is a hybrid workshop – join us in person at Second Sense to see the devices available to you or listen in remotely via Zoom. DHS customers are encouraged to attend this workshop.

You’ll learn about:

  • technology bundles and how to obtain one
  • qualifications for assistive technology and home evaluations
  • details of vocational rehabilitation services, individual training, technical assistance, and follow up services
  • other programs and services available to all Illinois residents

If joining us via Zoom, call 312-236-8569 with your name and email to receive the Zoom information or email Eric Boklage.
