Get to Know Your New Victor Reader Stream

Tuesday, February 20 - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The Victor Reader Stream by Humanware is a handy digital media device to store all sorts of information. Your favorite books, podcasts, newspapers and music is right at your fingertips. The easy-to-use audio recorder is great to jot down a quick phone number or record a lecture. And for some people, the tactile keypad may be preferable to the flat screen of a smart phone.

Our Getting to Know Your New Victor Reader Stream workshop is a perfect opportunity for those who may have just received a new device or have transitioned to a newer model. Marv Commerford, Second Sense tech tutor and Richard Stauder, our assistive technology instructor, will help you:

  • learn the physical layout of the device
  • navigate the online and off line shelves
  • navigate between book shelves
  • use the keypad to navigate from book-to-book or note-to-note
  • navigate the menu
  • use the audio recorder
  • learn about other resources for your Victor Reader Stream
  • This is a hybrid workshop — attend in person or via our conference line, 312-809-1004. For questions, email Richard Stauder.
