Friday, April 14 - 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Whether you want to train for a marathon or just get off the couch, finding the right fitness program is not an easy process. There are an overwhelming number of programs to choose from, but finding the one that is accessible and user friendly for someone with vision loss just adds to the challenge. If you are lucky enough to find a program designed by someone who also has vision loss, you can feel fairly certain you are in the right place!

We are pleased to welcome Evan Schwerbrock, founder of Cane and Able Fitness. Evan, who also has vision loss from Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, holds a degree in health science and a masters in kinesiology and applied exercise physiology. Evan is also a certified personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Cane and Able Fitness provides customized fitness training, virtual workshops and other handy tips and guides to help you achieve your fitness goals.
