Using assistive technology, understanding it and keeping up with it can feel like an overwhelming and never ending learning curve. You struggle to learn it in the first place, then some web developer comes along and “improves it” making you start over again. But knowing how to use these apps can bring a big improvement in your level of independence.
So whatever camp you are in – a newbie, a somewhat knowledgeable user or a tech geek, we offer an opportunity to become intimately knowledgeable about some basic apps. You’ll learn tips, insights and recommendations so you can use them confidently when the need arises.
During October, Eric Boklage, our Second Sense intern, covers the Magnifier app, BeMyEyes, Seeing AI and BARD Mobile.
