Looking for an alternative to an Apple iPhone? Are you already an Android user and looking for help with accessibility features? Join us for our Android accessibility workshops!

In this four part series, we look at the many vision accessibility features available on Android and how they can work for you! We’ll also discuss helpful apps that can be downloaded to an Android device to help prmote independence.

March 6: Intro to Android accessibility

March 13: Low Vision Accessibility Features

  • Changing color, contrast and font size
  • Turning on the magnification feature
  • Using the Read aloud feature

March 20: TalkBack

  • Turning TalkBack on and off
  • Changing settings and setting up shortcuts
  • Using gestures to navigate

March 27: Third Party Apps

  • Seeing AI for Android
  • Android Things with Intel’s Edison
  • Be My AI
  • LookOut
