I was born in New York City and moved to California at the age of six, where I have lived ever since.
Because of a congenital vision impairment, I learned to read and write using a closed-circuit TV system (CCTV), which I also use to do my artwork.
My earliest memories are of drawing, which gives me the sense of doing the things my limited vision prevents.
I draw to give my eyes something they can get their hands on.
Much of my work is inspired by the humor that can be found in ordinary language and symbols.
