Paula is originally from Salisbury, Maryland and was born nearly blind. Several cataract surgeries improved her vision, but she then lost all vision in her left eye because of glaucoma at the age of 15.
She moved to Florida with her husband, who passed away in 2010.
Paula learned to paint in the art program at the LightHouse of Southwest Florida.
