Second Sense - Beyond Vision Loss

Carol Sue Henry

Carol Sue Henry has been legally blind since birth. In the 1940s, Carol Sue had cataracts removed. This surgery was followed by many more throughout grammar school, high school and college as her battle with vision loss and Glaucoma continued.

In 2002, Carol Sue relocated to FL from Illinois. After being introduced to the Lighthouse of SWFL, she joined the art program and began producing beautiful works. Many of her acrylic paintings feature outdoor settings. This is especially true of the works created during recent times with the pandemic related stay-at-home orders!

Carol Sue is a very talented individual. She enjoys painting, playing the organ, playing the piano, playing two types of keyboards and the guitar! Friends and the county life are among her loves. However, she appreciates the transportation options available to her in her city home as her vision has prevented driving throughout her life. She and her brother are enjoying the Ft. Myers region and the Florida sunshine!
