“I’m a self-taught artist. I’ve been legally blind since very early childhood from Retinitis Pigmentosa. From as far back as I can remember, I was fascinated with artists and their techniques. Like a sponge, I watched and absorbed different techniques, along with tips and suggestions from many artist friends, magazines and video tutorials. I am drawn to defining shadows and vivid contrast and colors. With a very narrow visual field of 2 degrees, my process takes a lot of different methods of measurement to achieve my desired outcome. I try to tell a story with my paintings, whether it be a person, place or thing, each one carries a story from my heart.”
