My focus provides a creative way for me to share my “lack of visual acuity” and my passion for artistic expression. I often surprise sighted people with my work.
I was part of the original photography class for blind photographers at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, MA in the early 80s. I studied painting in Vienna, Austria in the 70s. And, I opened and closed an art gallery in Seattle for artists who were underserved between 2015-2019.
I am currently the director of ReVision Arts, whose focus is assisting artists who are making tactile art, to enable art to be touched. This exhibit, Please Touch, will be at Seattle Center, July 2020.
