Have you heard of NVDA or Non-Visual Desktop Access? NVDA is a free, open source screen reader similar to Freedom Scientific’s JAWS. This hands-on class is packed with everything you’ll need to know about using this screen reader either as your primary adaptive technology or a second option.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • starting and quitting NVDA,
  • changing settings in the  menu,
  • using the mouse with NVDA,
  • creating a portable copy on a USB drive, and
  • navigating Windows and other applications.

To register for this workshop, please call our front desk at 312-236-8569 or email email David Flament.
