Mindful Eating: Encouragement for a Healthy Lifestyle

It’s the little changes that make the difference! This is Second Sense volunteer, Brooke Keeton’s, mantra when it comes to achieving a healthy lifestyle. She is a long time practitioner of mindful eating and also has a culinary background. Brooke volunteers her time to support others like herself with vision loss to think more carefully about what we eat and finding ways to incorporate exercise into a daily routine. This group discusses the challenges we all face to eating mindfully to achieve better health and energy levels.

Mindful Eating meets every Friday at 9:00 am. Anyone interested in getting the support you need to begin a path to a healthier lifestyle is welcome to join us!

The conversation revolves around:

  • sharing healthy recipes
  • incorporating nutritious foods into your diet
  • cooking methods
  • finding ways to get more exercise
  • encouraging each other all along the way
