Second Sense - Beyond Vision Loss

Mindful Eating: A Path to Overall Good Health and Well-being

Wednesday, October 14 - 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Today, eating has become more or less a mindless activity. We are distracted by television, smart phones and the stress of everyday life that we no longer take the time to enjoy food.  As a result, we are eating without thought, eating too much and eventually, added weight.

Mindful eating is a technique that helps you control and recognize your eating habits while enjoying the food you consume. In this introductory presentation, Brooke Keeton, a Second Sense client who has been involved with mindful eating for a number of years, shares her journey. Brooke explains the concept of mindful eating and how it can help you lose weight and feel more energetic.

Brooke discusses:

  • the concept of mindful eating and how it helps you maintain overall good health and well-being
  • the techniques and practices used in mindful eating
  • the benefits you can achieve with mindful eating
  • the six-week course Brooke is leading at Second Sense this November

This is a remote presentation. Call in on our conference call line at 312-809-1004, no pin required.
