With all the new types of lighting on the market today, what is best for someone with vision loss? Lighting is an important factor that can make it easier or not so easy to see. This presentation, shared with permission by Elaine Kitchel from the American Printing House for the Blind, provides new research findings about the best type of light to use for someone with vision loss and other strategies to maximize vision.

During this presentation, you will learn about:

  • damaging effects of blue light and why it is especially harmful for those with compromised vision,
  • different types of light bulbs and how to choose the best bulb, and
  • environmental changes that can enhance vision.
