woman flipping through pages in her blogWriting down your thoughts, or journaling as it is often called, can be a therapeutic way to process feelings, find self-compassion and have a non-judgmental friend who will listen. Becky DeGeorge, certified Journal to the Self coach who also has vision loss, is visiting Second Sense and bringing her journal therapy workshop with her for you to try out. Use your favorite writing tool – computer, braille or paper and pen!

In this relaxed, 90 minute session, you’ll

  • learn about keeping a journal and expressive writing,
  • have an opportunity to practice different journaling techniques and
  • share your feelings about the writing process.
