How to Get the Assistive Technology You Need

Tuesday, January 19 - 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Assistive technology is expensive, but is a necessity for people with disabilities. Finding the right product may be the easy part, but the funds to secure the purchase can be out of reach for many. The Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) is federally funded and can provide the support that can help you get the device or software you need.

Robin Richard and Jane Teeter from IATP join us to provide information on the resources and services available to Illinois residents with disabilities and their families through this program. You’ll learn about:

  • consumer loans to purchase assistive technology
  • recycled and reuse device project
  • assistive technology buyer and seller exchange
  • device loan and trial program
