The Yoga Alliance Foundation’s Teaching for Equity grant, is generously enabling Aly Slaughter, certified yoga teacher, to offer 12 free virtual yoga classes for individuals with vision loss.
Aly has an extensive background in the practice of yoga with over 500 hours of teacher training. She believes yoga is a tool for healing physically, emotionally and mentally. Through her many hours of training and teaching, she found the practice of yoga can help relieve feelings of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Aly’s classes are for all people of all abilities and in all bodies.
In this 12-session class you’ll learn how to incorporate breath, meditation and movement in different styles of yoga including:
Classes are held every Wednesday and Saturday, from February 16 to April 2. Classes begin at 9:00 am and last approximately 45 to 50 minutes with time for cultivating community with conversation at the end of each class. Recordings will be available for those who cannot make every class to help keep you on pace.
