Eye2Eye: Virtual Support for People with Vision Loss

Friday, June 7 - 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Sometimes a little help from someone who can be objective, but also going through similar circumstances, can give you a new way of looking at life. Rutgers University Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling has just the place to help you get that much needed support from someone who understands.

Eye2Eye is a free, phone-based, peer support program to help you through the challenges of living with vision loss. Through the power of shared experiences, trained peer support specialists, who also have vision loss, offer emotional support, community connection and opportunities for personal growth.

We are happy to welcome Alicia Lukachko, D.Ph., MSW, LCPC and assistant professor at Rutgers University, and Dana Manson, peer support specialist, to share how this program can help you. You’ll learn about the program’s offerings including:

  • emotional support
  • assessment of needs and well being
  • virtual support groups
  • information and referral
  • services for family and friends
