Don’t Wait for the Crisis: Last Will and Testament

Friday, October 20 - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

It doesn’t matter if you have millions of dollars or just some sentimental items. When you pass away, you’ll want the special people or organizations in your life to receive them. This is the reason a last will and testament is such an important document. Having a will helps avoid the government taking your estate into probate causing delays in your loved ones receiving your possessions.

In Part 2 of “Don’t Wait for the Crisis,” we welcome back Tiffany Clements, attorney from the Center for Disability and Elder Law. Tiffany answers your questions to help you prepare to write your last will and testament.

You’ll learn:

  • Why should you write a will and what happens if you don’t?
  • What are the legal requirements and drafting process for a last will and testament?
  • What is a “Transfer on Death Instrument (TODI) and do you need one?
