Have you been wanting to learn braille? Did you know braille can be a great tool for labeling a wide variety of items for easier access?

Our braille class Kathy reading braille.starts with the very basics to help you build a foundation of simple braille. The new change to the Unified English Braille code is covered in this course. This course also encourages the development of good finger positioning to promote smooth and efficient reading.

Beginning Braille meets every Tuesday for 16 weeks. You must register for this class prior to the start date.

Our braille class will:

  • teach you to read and write the alphabet, numbers and punctuation,
  • give you a working knowledge of reading elevator panels, calendars and phone numbers, and
  • give you ideas for personal use at home.

A slate and stylus are required for this class. These items can be purchased in our Product Center for $10.50.
