APH Connect Center: Helping you thrive with vision loss

Thursday, September 15 - 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) was established in 1858 in order to meet the increasing need for books and educational materials for blind students. Today, APH provides a wealth of resources for people of all ages with vision loss. In addition to their innovative products, vast library of materials related to blindness and visual impairment, museum and more, the APH Connect Center is a one-stop shop for those needing support to live and thrive with vision loss.

We are excited to welcome Katie Frederick, digital content manager at APH’s VisionAware to tell us about the Connect Center and the resources you can find there. Katie will share information about the different areas that can support you including:

  • Family Connect providing useful resources for parents and children with vision loss
  • Career Connect for learning to land and maintain employment
  • VisionAware to support you in living an independent life
