We are looking for an experienced computer user to help our students master Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet. We will provide training on using the screen magnification program our students use to see the computer screen. This ongoing direct service volunteer position requires a three- to four-hour commitment once a week.
Technical Computer Writer
We are looking for a volunteer to update our study guides for our adaptive computer classes. This project involves taking our existing computer instructions for Windows 7 and updating them to reflect the changes to Windows 10. Project can be completed from home!
Front Desk Receptionist
We’re looking for one or two caring volunteers with general office experience to answer phones, greet visitors and clients at Second Sense. Basic computer knowledge is required. This volunteer position is a commitment of four to seven hours a week on Tuesdays.
Braille Reader and Transcriber Team
We are looking for two separate volunteers:
- an experienced braille reader to read aloud an old braille cookbook belonging to Second Sense
- a volunteer who can type the dictated material into a Word document (no braille experience is needed)
These two volunteers would work together as a team to complete this job. Flexible schedule.
