Insights: Tips and Techniques

Measuring small amounts of liquid can be difficult. Most recipes calling for vanilla and flavor extracts require only a teaspoon or less. Transfer the liquid into a jar with a wide opening, then dip a measuring spoon into the jar. This eliminates the problem of pouring the liquid into a measuring spoon. Remember to label the jar in a way that you can identify the contents later. Another option is to use an eyedropper.

Second Sense staff hopes our Insights: Tip of the Week has been helpful for you. Now it's your turn! Everyone develops their own ways of adapting and coping. The way you accomplish a task or maintain a healthy attitude can also help someone else.

Do you have a tip you'd like to share? We have five categories – Fun and Leisure, Out and About, Technology Can Do's, Positive Attitudes and Everyday Living.

If your tip is selected, you are eligible to receive a 10% discount towards a purchase in Second Sense's Consumer Product Center. See a current list of our products.
