Mobility Week at Second Sense
Chicago, IL, May 23, 2012 – Second Sense is hosting a series of free workshops focused on enhancing the mobility of people with vision loss. The five workshops take place at the Guild for the Blind at 65 E. Evening Retinitis Pigmentosa Support Group
Chicago, April 6, 2012 -- Second Sense is offering a spring and summer session of their successful Retinitis Pigmentosa support group. The ten-week group beginning on Monday, April 9 at 5:30 pm, helps members by candidly addressing the unique challenges posed by an RP diagnosis, and by creating an environment of sharing and support. Adaptive Technology Classes Offered For Teachers
Chicago, February 1, 2012 -- Opening Doors is a new series offered by Second Sense providing training seminars for teachers on modern adaptive technology. Starting in September of 2011, the six-seminar series will highlight different adaptive tools and programs useful for students with vision loss. Read more.
Looking Ahead Support Group
Chicago, February 1, 2012 –- Second Sense will offer a thirteen-week counseling support group for people adjusting to vision loss. The focus will be on the difficult situations faced when dealing with vision loss and constructive conversation that puts issues into perspective.
